There are 4 categories of Install App profiles that we have created. If creating a new profile, include the word App, Faculty, Location, or Student at the front of the name. App profiles are very specific apps that will be installed on single use iPads such as swivl or Zoom Rooms. Limit these profiles to that very specific use group.

Faculty have two profiles: Default and On Demand. Apps that need to be loaded on all faculty iPads go in Default, and ones that are not student apps, such as Netflix or Facebook, go in the On Demand profile.

There can be limited licenses in the On Demand profile, and more can be purchased as needed. The Loaners app profile has basic apps that will be needed in any grade level to avoid needing to install those at the time of the loan.

The Student limited profile is for student apps that have limited licenses. This profile is assigned to the Teachers, Staff, and Admin profile only. If a limited app is needed in a classroom, it is assigned to that grade level app profile and removed when they are finished with it.
